Scott Logan Smith, Sr.

Scott Logan Smith, Sr., a long time Alaskan resident passed away unexpectedly May 27, 2010 at his Anchorage home. Scott was born July 29, 1955 in Antigo, WI, and raised in Cicero, IL. He joined the Navy in the early seventies then traveled around the states. Scott settled in Alaska in the early eighties with his family and friends to pursue a career in the oil industry. Over the years he had many miscellaneous business ventures. Scott loved to laugh, was light-hearted and loved to tell stories. Scott had a passion for the Alaskan lifestyle. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, tinkering with equipment, and long weekends at his cabin in Willow, AK.He is survived by his mother; Carol O'Meara of Antigo; a sister, Brenda Jo Wiedenhoft of Gleason; 2 sons Scott L. Smith Jr. and Gary G. Smith both of Anchorage, AK; grandchildren; Morgan H. and Isabella R. Smith and his four legged companion Sammy. He also left behind many dear friends and family members.Scott was preceded in death by his father Lee Smith and his soul mate Donna Gale Webster. Services were held in Alaska.
