Sharon Mae “Sheri” Borup, age 79, of Antigo, WI died September 15, 2024.
Sheri was born on April 30, 1945 in Racine, the first born daughter to William K. and Fern “Louise” (Miller) Borup.
She was a graduate of Washington Park High School, class of 1963. She was employed by InSinkErator Corporation for over 30 years. Sheri was well liked and respected and made a lot of friends. Upon retirement Shari moved to Antigo to enjoy the country life.
Sheri was an avid Packer fan, never missing a game, even during her short time illness. Throughout her illness she never lost her sense of humor and continued to leave a smile on the faces of those around her.
She enjoyed nature, fishing, and visiting the casinos. Her circle of friends grew while at the casino. Sheri had a strong belief that life should be respected and cherished, never taking anything for granted. She often said this was her motto.
Sheri was intelligent and well versed in many trades. This made her an interesting person to talk to and get to know.
Survivors include two sisters: Marlene Dubiak and Karen Benedict, a brother John (Rebecca) Borup, her dear friend Catherine Combs, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Sheri was preceded in death by a younger sister Vicki Borup, and two brothers-in-law: Raymond Benedict and Timothy Schultz.
A celebration of Sheri’s life take place at Doobies Sports Bar located at 3701 Durand Ave., Racine, WI 53405, on October 12 beginning at 1:00 PM.
