Sheila Otto, of Appleton, died Jan. 20, 2012 at Appleton Medical Center at the age of 62. She was born Oct. 28, 1949, daughter of the late Ed and Vivian (Clay) Straley. She married Eugene Otto on Aug. 27, 1966, and he preceded her in death in 1997. Mrs. Otto was employed as a health care aide at Clarity Care. She resided in Appleton, and previously lived in Elton, Bryant, Antigo, Deerbrook, Lily, and Watertown, SD. She enjoyed taking rides, get-togethers, barbecues, traveling with Emery her friend and companion, and watching Packer games. She attended the Evangelical Wesleyan Church while living in Watertown, SD. Survivors include 4 children, Eugene Jr. (Julia) of Appleton, Sandy (Dean) Fischer of Appleton, Charles (significant other, Suzette Kolpack), and Tammy (Rev. Michael) Hagemeier; her mother, Vivian Straley; 3 sisters, Bonnie (Dan) Keso of White Lake, Brenda Kamuda of Appleton, and Jean Straley of Milwaukee; 6 brothers, Bernard (Vonda Lee) of White Lake, Tom (Jeanie) of Elton, Jerry of Elton, Raymond (Pat) of Las Vegas, NV, Maurice (Marlene) of Elton, and Ed (Nancy) of Polar; 6 grandchildren, Bryce Otto, Isabel Fischer, Holden Fischer, Josh Otto, Kelsy Hagemeier, and Seth Hagemeier; and a brother-in-law, Dale Lewis. In addition to her father and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Lewis. A funeral will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tues. at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home with Sheila's son-in-law Rev. Michael Hagemeier officiating. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Mon. and 10-11 Tues. at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Elton Cemetery. A memorial will be established in her name.
