Sheldon "Ray" Hall

Sheldon "Ray" Hall, age 71, died Oct. 18 in Antigo, WI. He was a resident of Glenview, IL for nearly 50 years. He was born in Chinook, MT on July 25, 1937, the son of the late Calvin James and Julia Ethel (Kimsey) Hall. He married Carol (Berg) on Sept. 17, 1960 in Wilmette, IL. After graduating from high school, Mr. Hall served in the US Army. He was a member of the National Guard, and later served in active duty. Mr. Hall was employed as a plant supervisor in the produce business for 46 years, retiring in 2002. He loved the outdoors, especially spending time at the cottage on Lone Stone Lake in Three Lakes, WI. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling. In addition to his wife Carol of Glenview, IL, he is survived by 3 children, Michael (Patty) Hall of Antigo, WI, Diane (Steve) Labahn of Mt. Prospect, IL, and Mark (Diane) Hall of Wheeling, IL; 4 sisters, Alice (Austin) Nivens, Eleanor Wilson, Katherine Rudolph, and Rozella Annis, all of Montana; 1 brother, Ira (Janet Hall) of Montana; 6 grandchildren, Derrick, Alexandra, Kristine, Eric, Kimberly, and Mark Jr.; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Frank, James, and Calvin; 4 sisters, Mary, Isabel, Lola, and Evelyn; and a grandson, Bradley. Private visitation was held for immediate family in Antigo, WI. A memorial service will be held at a later time in Glenview, IL.
