Shirley H. Dieck, age 75 of Antigo, died Tuesday at the home of her daughter under the care of her family and LeRoyer Hospice.Mrs. Dieck was born October 12, 1935 to the late Clarence and Martha (Lorenzen) Kriese in Madison, MN. She was a graduate of Marietta High School where she was class valedictorian. She went on to nursing school at Swedish Hospital of Nursing in Minneapolis, MN.On October 27, 1956, Shirley married Roy Dieck in Marrietta, MN. He survives and resides in Antigo.Mrs. Dieck was a homemaker and a registered nurse. She was employed at Rockhaven Nursing Home in Janesville and at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center in Antigo, where her children and grandchildren carried on the tradition of volunteering and working there. Her name can often still be heard throughout the halls of Eastview.Mrs. Dieck and her family lived in Janesville, Aniwa, and Antigo. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and seeing the United States while traveling with Roy in their motor home.Mrs. Dieck was a member of Homestead Fellowship Church.In addition to her husband, Mrs. Dieck is survived by a daughter, Pamela (Peter) Augustyn of Antigo; 4 sons, Steven (Pamela) of Lake Villa, IL, Jonathan of Powderly, TX, Philip (Laura) of Powderly, TX and Gregory of Rockford, IL; 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Jeanette Hiepler of Apple Valley, MN, Darlene (Glen) Peterson of Brainerd, MN, Delores (Lawrence) Millerbernd of Madison, MN, a brother, Loren (Marilyn) of Watertown, SD and a sister-in-law Peggy Kriese of Alexandria, MN.Mrs. Dieck was preceded in death by a brother Harold Kriese.Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at Antigo Community Church with Rev. Steven Schroepfer of Homestead Fellowship Church officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home and Thursday from 10:00 AM until the service at the church. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.A memorial will be established in Mrs. Dieck's name.
