Shirley Wedemayer

Shirley Wedemayer, age 94 of Antigo, passed away on January 22, 2022 at Care Partners under the care of LeRoyer Hospice. Shirley was born on March 24, 1927 to the late Edward and Olivia (Huber) Cork in Milwaukee. In 1947 Shirley was united in marriage to Julius Wedemeyer. He preceded her in death in 2004. Shirley worked as a homemaker. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary. Shirley enjoyed reading, sewing, embroidering, and knitting. Shirley is survived by sons, Michael Wedemeyer of Florida and David (Bonnie) Wedemeyer of Antigo. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley was preceded in death by children Nancy Wedemeyer, Randy Wedemeyer, and Mary Poch. In accordance with Shirley’s wishes, a graveside service will be held on a later date.
