Stephen Paul Kassler, age 80, of Aniwa died Sunday, August 21, 2022 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Stephen was born on September 23, 1941 in Bronx, New York to the late Stephen and Helen (Mako) Kassler. He graduated from Aviation High School in New York and proudly served the U.S. Navy. In his life, he enjoyed working in the woods, deer hunting, bowling, baseball, white water racing and telling some good stories. He was fiercely intelligent. He could fix or build anything he set his mind to. He had a very strong work ethic and was very proud to witness that in his children. He spent his time on this earth with his wife Diane, children Carol Lynn (Steve) Berg, Clint (Corrie) Kassler, Steven (Stephanie) Awonohopay Sr., Shane (Misty) Frink, Shawn (Elizabeth) Radtke, Stephen (Jennifer) Radtke , Jesse (Stephanie) Radtke, Nicholas (Erin) Radtke, Michael (Vanity) Radtke, Stephenie Smith, Adam (Katye Hoyt) Radtke, Christopher (Katie Woller) Radtke, Alex (Katie) Radtke and 46 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren as well as sisters Jean (Lew) Nest and Helene Cassidy. As he leaves this earthly world, he will be surrounded by the loved ones who preceded him including parents, Helen and Stephen, beloved first wife Aline, precious daughter Alexandria, sister Joan Thompson and brothers-in-law John Cassidy, Richard Thompson, and Leroy Werkheiser. A graveside service will be held on Thursday September 1, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Queen of Peace Cemetery at Aurora Street and Sixth Avenue, Deacon Andy Bures will officiate.
