Sue Yonkee

Billie Sue Yonkee, age 60, of Deerbrook died Tues., May 25 at her home.She was born March 25, 1950 in Indiana, daughter of the late James William Sparks and Augusta Mae Sparks. She married LaVerne Yonkee on July 19, 1969 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Deerbrook. He survives and resides in DeerbrookSue lived in Illinois until her teenage years, when she moved to the Antigo area. She was employed in home health care, cleaning homes, and cooking and cleaning at North Star Lanes. She was artistic and handy with fixing things. She painted nails, sold essential oils, and was a great cook.Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a daughter, Melody (James) Hohensee of Antigo; 2 sisters, Evelyn of Colorado, and Debbi (Steve) Rimi of Missouri; a brother Edward (Joan) of Illinois; many nieces and nephews; and her favorite cat Patches. She was preceded in death by her parents.Services will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 29 at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home. Her nephew Matthew Rimi will officiate. Visitation will take place 6:00-7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
