Theodore "Ted" R. Haig

Theodore R. Haig of Antigo died Jan. 31 at Eastview Medical and Rehab. He was 82 years old.Born Oct. 9, 1926 in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late John and Amelia (Puepke) Haig. He married Gladys "Petie" Hanke on Sept. 8, 1962. She survives.After serving in the military, he was employed as a truck driver, delivering produce for Cavanaugh for many years. He also worked for many years at the Kraft cheese factory until his retirement. Ted enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and other outside activities. His favorite pastimes were cooking for family and spending time with "Sassy," his cat.Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a sister, Virginia Passehl of Antigo; a brother, Walter Haig of Issaquah, WA; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 5 sisters, Ruth, Elisa, Irene, Marty, and Lucille, and 4 brothers, Irvin, Gerhardt, Jack, and Herbert.Ted labored hard for those he loved, then left us to remember.
