Thomas "Ed" Stanke

Thomas "Ed" Stanke of Blaine, MN and a former Antigo resident, died Fri., Oct. 23 as a result of an accident in St. Paul, MN. He was 50 years old.He was born Nov. 30, 1958 in Sheboygan, son of Miles and Gerry (Deppe) Stanke. Miles and Gerry survive and reside in Antigo. He married Mary Kimpton. She survives and lives in Blaine, MN.Ed was a 1977 graduate of Antigo High School, and a member of the 1976 state champion Red Robin football team. He was employed by TD&I Cable as a utility supervisor.Ed enjoyed riding his Harley, fishing, and spending time with his dog, Dixie. His Fourth of July celebrations were legendary. Ed especially treasured his time with his children, Allison and Eric.Survivors, in addition to his parents and wife, include: daughter, Allison Erica Stanke of Blaine; son, Eric Miles Stanke of Blaine; stepson, Ben Kimpton; a sister, Kelly (Tom) McAuly of Mattoon; 3 brothers, Tim (Debbie) of Lakeland, MN, Pat "Moe" (Barb) of Livingston, MT, and Kris (Kathy) of Antigo; aunt, Bev Frasier of Coloma; 2 cousins Michael and Mitchell; nieces and nephews, Jessica, Elizabeth, Molly, Kayla, Sally, Riley, Kelsey, Kaitlyn, Brianna, and Braden.
