Verna Esther Rohe

Verna Esther Rohe, age 76, of Antigo died Monday, January 22, 2024 at her home.

Verna was born on July 6, 1947 in Appleton, WI to the late James and Vera ( Frahm) Ozment.

On May 11, 1972 she was united in marriage to Roger Rohe, her best friend.

The couple resided in various communities before settling in Antigo.

Verna was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. A woman of strong faith, she enjoyed teaching Sunday school and was a prayer warrior.

Verna loved gardening and children. Her love of children led her to a career in childcare and she was employed at LeRoyer Childcare for many years.

Verna is survived by her husband Roger, children: Ken (Nickole) Rohe of Elcho, Jolene (Jerry) Meverden of Merrill, 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 2 brothers: David (Candy) Ozment of Colorado and Miller (Mary) Ozment of Brillion, WI.

In addition to her parents, Verna was preceded in death by a sister Dolly.

A memorial service for Verna will be held on Thursday, February 15 at 4:30 PM at Peace Lutheran Church. Reverend Jared Fenske will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:30 PM until the service at the church.
