Vernon "Vern" West

Vernon “Vern” West, 87 years old of Birnamwood, WI, formerly of White Lake, WI, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 28, 2023 surrounded by his family.

He was born October 18, 1935 in Elton, WI to the late Ed and Nellie West. He married Fran West on June 14, 1956 in Kenosha, WI. She preceded him in death on February 14, 2021. Vernon worked at Hunters Feed Mill and later retired from Edelman Meats after 25 years.

He is survived by his 6 children: Rick (Anna) West of Antigo, Mike (Barb) West of Elton, Brad (Jen) West of Wausau, Tammie (Phil) Pranke of Two Rivers, Deann (Jack Wojnowiak) Waldner of Birnamwood, Denise West of Milwaukee, 20 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, 2 sisters: Ruth (Mike) Pratt and Rosie (Dennis) Rank, 2 brothers: Mick (Linda) West and Reese (Melanie) West.

In addition to his wife and parents, Vernon was preceded in death by a daughter Laurie West, 3 brothers-in-law: Jon, Don, and Glen Conwell, grandson Thomas Vernon West, and great grandson Corbin Miller.

Vern’s family has planned a celebration of life to be held at Four Corners Assembly of God, White Lake, WI. Visitation will take place on Saturday, August 26, 2023 from 10 AM to 12:00 PM with services to follow.

There will be a luncheon following church services at the White Lake Community Center at 1:00 PM
