Viola "Vi" Beyer

Viola "Vi" Beyer, age 87, died Thurs. June 25 at Langlade Hospital in Antigo. She was born July 23, 1921 in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Joseph and Clarabelle (Morse) Willbrandt. She married Clarence J. Beyer on Sept. 14, 1940 at Cross Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death.Mrs. Beyer was employed at Jaeger Baking Co. in Milwaukee for 25 years. Prior to moving to Antigo, she lived in Beecher, WI during the summer, and Apache Junction, AZ during the winter. For the past 11 months, she resided at Evergreen Terrace, where the staff helped make her stay comfortable and enjoyable.Mrs. Beyer was a member of the "Stitch and Chatter Club." She also enjoyed dancing, travelling, fishing, swimming, and crafts. Survivors include two daughters, Patricia (Ronald) Hirte of Merrill, Barbara (Arthur) LaRue of Wausau; 2 sisters, Hazel Jennings of Brown Deer, Shirley Neuman of Wausaukee; 8 grandchildren, Daniel Hirte of Wausau, Adam (Julie) Hirte of Pembine, Dawn (Jerry) Brown of Merrill, Linda Hirte of Merrill, Brad (Lana) Hirte of Merrill, Jon (Lisa) LaRue of Fairfield, MT, Cathy (Jack) Felske of New Berlin, Cory LaRue of Wausau; 9 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.In addition to her husband, Clarence, she was preceded in death by 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
