Virgina E. Grall

Virginia E. Grall, 98, of Antigo died Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Evergreen Terrace. She was born in Antigo on November 3, 1918 to the late Andrew and Mary (Soman) Selenske. Virginia attended Selenske School and vocational school. She married Raymond Grall on June 21, 1941 at St. John Catholic Church in Antigo. Raymond preceded her in death on October 5, 2006. Virginia raised her family in Milwaukee and worked at Evinrude Motors for four years while in Milwaukee. Upon retirement they returned to Antigo. Virginia and Ray spent winters in Texas for 32 years. They enjoyed volunteering, dancing, the weather, birds and the nice people. While in Antigo they were members of both the Kitchen Band and Memories Band. Virginia is survived by a son, James (Jean) of Polar, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Virginia was predeceased by her parents and husband, sisters, Marie Kuenzli, Josephine Teske and brothers, John, Peter and Andy Selenske. Family and friends may call at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home beginning at 11:00 on Sunday, Oct 8th until 1:00pm and from 10:00 to 11:00 on Monday, Oct. 9th at the church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John Catholic Church on Monday, Oct 9th at 11:00. Entombment will be in the Queen of Peace Mausoleum.
