Virginia Theresa Poltrock

Virginia Theresa Poltrock, 89, under the care of LeRoyer Hospice, was taken to her heavenly home on April 3, 2017. Virginia was born on September 6, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois, a daughter of the late Eddie and Katherine (Schlanger) Johnson. She married Edward Poltrock on October 16, 1948 in Chicago. He preceded her in death on February 4, 1992. She was employed by Hall Printing Company in Chicago as a payroll clerk before moving to Antigo in 1951. Virginia enjoyed crocheting, reading, working on word search puzzles, and spending time with her family. Survivors include four daughters: Patricia (Tom) Stanek, Teresa and Shirley Poltrock, all of Antigo and Sandra (Shawn) Blakley of Green Bay. Two sons: Gary (Tina) Poltrock and Larry (Angela) Poltrock, both of Antigo. One sister, Katherine(Brian) Laffin of Wausau and two brothers, John Johnson of Florida and Conrad Johnson of Michigan. Nine grandchildren: Michelle Coughlin of Ohio; Ann (Gary) Mroczenski of Brokaw, WI; Michael (Lauren) Wojtasiak of Monona, WI; Melissa Warburton, Green Bay, WI; Heather (Eric) Schmieder, Wausau, WI and Noah, Tyler, Kristi, and Jesse Poltrock. Eight great-grandchildren: Allen and Cohen Warburton, Rowan, Elena and Logan Coughlin, Audrey and Miles Wojtasiak, and Alexa Mroczenski. She was preceded in death by a sister, Genevieve and four brothers, Raymond, Eddie, William and one in infancy. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home and on Saturday from 9:30 am-10:30 am at the funeral home with a service to follow at 10:30 am, with Reverend David Karolus officiating.
