Wayne Lapage

Wayne E. LaPage, age 74, died Saturday at Langlade Hospital. Mr. LaPage was born on March 23, 1940 to the late Wilbert E. and Gladys M. (Jones) LaPage. He was united in marriage to Donna Powell on June 29, 1963 at Four Corners Assembly of God Church. Mr. LaPage was a graduate of Green Bay West High School. He served in the US Air Force from 1958-1961, having been station in Ellsworth, South Dakota, Kansas City, and North Africa. He served as a base police officer and K-9 handler. He was a member of American Legion Post #3 of Antigo. Mr. LaPage lived in Green Bay and Manitowoc then Antigo. He was employed at Manitowoc Crane in the shipping and receiving department for 20 years, was a refrigeration technician for Manitowoc Ice Machine for 10 years, and was a machine operator at Amron Corporation. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid Packer fan. In addition to his wife, Donna of Antigo, Mr. LaPage is survived by 2 daughters, Wendy (Robert) Kemmer of Antigo, Heidi (Gregory) Menges of McAlester, OK, a son Kevin Lapage of Crystal Falls, MI, 4 grandchildren, Joshua, Michael, and Kinsey Kemmer, and David (Cassie) Menges, 2 great grandchildren, Zack and Drake Menges, a special aunt, Gladys Jones, dear friends Don and Jean DeRoost, 2 half sisters, Pat (John) Mott and Linda LaPage both of Green Bay and 2 half brother, David LaPage of Green Bay and Dave Burt of CA. Mr. LaPage was preceded in death by 2 sons, Michael and Gregory. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 6:00PM at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 3:00 – 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Military honors will follow the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established in his name.
