William "Bill" Rector

William “Bill” Rector passed away on March 12, 2022 at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield at the age of 57. Bill was born on February 1, 1965 in Missouri to Juanita Jones and the late Robert Rector. On August 26, 1998, Bill was united in marriage to Tammy Meeks in Wausau. She survives. Bill was a graduate of Antigo High School. He went on to be a jack of all trades working as a roofer, building houses, and as a meat cutter. Bill had the biggest heart and was the best dad and husband. He had a great sense of humor, especially when it came to his good looks or putting a smile on someone’s face with his charm. He enjoyed hunting, spending time at the bar, and being the life of the party. Bill’s priority was taking care of his family and being there for each one of them, including the children he took in and loved. In addition to his wife and mom, Bill is survived by children Barbara Devine, Jordin Devine, Nicole (Aaron) Rector, Brittany (Tori) Rector, and Jo (Johnathon) Rector, siblings Robert Rector, Gail (Mark) Doser, Anita Randl, Danny “Nato” (Lisa) Rector, Charles Rector, Mike (Kelly) Rector, and Sarah (Greg) Specht, and sisters-in-law Brenda (Scott) Meeks and Linda (Andy) Converse. In addition to his father, Bill was preceded in death by daughter Ashley DeAngelis, brother Richard Rector, father and mother-in-law Larry and Bobbie Meeks, brother-in-law Mark Steckbauer, and sister-in-law Sonia Rector. A memorial service for Bill will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home with Pastor Marvin Kindle officiating. Visitation will take place prior to the service at the funeral home from 12:00 to 1:00 PM.
