William M Schultz

William M. Schultz, age 68, of Antigo passed away at his home February 28, 2021. Bill was born on April 8, 1952 in Antigo to the late Jack and Katherine (Andres) Schultz. He grew up in Antigo and attended St. John Catholic Grade School and graduated from Antigo High School. He went on to graduate from UW- Stevens Point. He was married to Dona-dee Abrahamson. She preceded him in death in 2008. Bill worked as a laborer in cheese making for both Schreiber Foods and later for Land O’ Lakes. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, enjoyed trout fishing, and collecting baseball cards. He often created baseball card displays and donated them to fundraisers for schools and the humane societies. He loved having fun with his grandson, Chase and telling “Dad Jokes”. He is survived by his children; Staci (Evan) Chapin of Marshall, Jeff (Tracy) Abrahamson of Wisconsin Rapids, Jason (Ryan & Jacob) Schultz of Green Bay, Jaimee Arnold of Appleton, a grandson; Chase Chapin, sisters; Jacquelyn “Jackie” Hackbarth of Titusville, FL, Patricia Gray of Antigo, Mary Jo (Gary) Dobbs of Madison, Karen Stickney of Antigo, Pamela Calhoun of Antigo, a brother; Donald (Cody) Schultz of Tuscon, AZ. In addition to his wife and parents, Bill was preceded in death by a sister Sandra Youngquist, mother-in-law; Nancy Reese, and brothers-in-law; Michael Hackbarth and Neal Gray. A gathering with family will be planned for a later date to remember Bill. Strasser-Roller Funeral Home is assisting with services.
