The Compassionate Friends - Ongoing Event

Assists families toward the positive resolution of grief following the death of a child of any age.  Meets the second Tuesday of each month at St. Joseph's Outpatient Center across from Langlade Hospital.  Meeting time is 6:30-8:30pm, with 6:30-7:00pm  specifically for those who are newly bereaved (within about past 1 1/2 years).  Regular meeting and guest speakers will take place 7:00-8:30pm.

Workshop for Survivors of Suicide Loss

American Foundation for Suicide Prevention hosts Jack Jordan, PhD, FT to present this interactive workshop.  The workshop draws on the presenter's experience as a grief counselor, and will include ample opportunity for Q&A.

 

Event is 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at Northcentral Technical College, 1000 W. Campus Drive, Wausau.

Wings: A Grief Education Ministry presents "Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda: Confronting Guilt and Shame - and Regret - in Bereavement" and takes place 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. Thursday, April 16, 2020. No registration necessary, and admission is free.

This seminar explores grief and compassionate bereavement support.  This program provides best practices on supporting families impacted by suicide and addiction.  Continuing education credits for licensed Wisconsin professionals are offered. Friday April 17, 2020 9:00 a.m- Noon Holiday Inn & Suites - Cedar Creek 1000 Imperial Avenue Rothschild WI.  Fee is $50.00, and registration is recommended.

Speaker Linda Kroll will share "Adam's Story," her story of loss and healing after losing her son to suicide.  Presented by HALOS of Antigo.

 

All are invited, especially those who have been affected by a suicide death.

 

Event takes place Monday, April 27 from 5:30-6:45 p.m. at the McGinley Room of Antigo Public Library.  Reservations not necessary, and there is no cost.

Hike for Hope

American Foundation for Suicide Prevention hosts an annual Hike for Hope in support of those affected by suicide, and to raise funds for suicide prevention programs and research.  Registration begins at 9:00am at Antigo's Heinzen Pavilion, 420 Field Street, and the walk begins at 10:00am.

Walk to End Alzheimer's
