The Compassionate Friends - Ongoing Event

Assists families toward the positive resolution of grief following the death of a child of any age.  Meets from 7:00-9:00 PM the second Wednesday of each month at St. Joseph's Outpatient Center across from Langlade Hospital.

    Sunday, January 13, 2019 : 4:00 PM to Sunday, April 7, 2019 : 4:00 PM
    A local GriefShare group will meet at Peace Lutheran Church in Antigo on Sunday evenings from 4:00-5:30 p.m.

    This nondenominational program features biblical concepts for healing from your grief. The group is led by caring people who have experienced grief and have successfully rebuilt their lives.

  • Grief Seminar by Wings
    Tuesday, January 22, 2019 : 6:00 PM to Tuesday, February 26, 2019 : 7:30 PM
    "Good Grief, Bad Grief - How Grief Changes Your Life" is a six-week series to help understand grief and learn coping skills.

    Grief is not an event that begins and ends. It becomes a part of your life. It is an active, ongoing process of turning your sadness into a meaningful life again. Both good and bad grief can make an impact on your life, sometimes without you realizing it.

    Join Wings: A Grief Education Ministry from 6:00-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday evenings from January 22 - February 26. Location is Aspirus Wausau Hospital Conference Room 0-850-2.

  • Understanding Grief Spring Seminars by Wings
    Thursday, April 4, 2019 : 7:00 PM to Friday, April 5, 2019 : 9:00 AM
    Professional speaker Ted Bowman will present for two community seminars at the Rothschild Holiday Inn and Suites.

    The first program is Thursday, April 4, 7:00-9:00 p.m., and is a community program for grieving families. No charge, and no registration required.

    The second program is Friday, April 5, 9:00 a.m.-noon, and is a professional seminar entitled "Grief and Hope in Life's Intersections: Multiple Responsies to Immediate and Chronic Sorrow." Cost is $50, and pre-registration is recommended. Registration at door may also be available.
