The Compassionate Friends - Ongoing Event

Assists families toward the positive resolution of grief following the death of a child of any age.  Meets from 7:00-9:00 PM the second Wednesday of each month at St. Joseph's Outpatient Center across from Langlade Hospital.  


Helping Another grieve Loved One's Suicide (HALOS) - Ongoing Event

This support group is open to anyone and discussions will remain confidential.  The path of grief is a long and hard on, but you need not walk it alone.

HALOS meetings will be held at 6:30 p.m. on the 3rd Thursday of every month at the Aspirus Langlade Hospital Kelley Conference Room (First floor behind the chapel).

  • Christmas Music Program by Wings: A Grief Education Ministry
    Saturday, December 01, 2018 : 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM
    "Lean on Me" is a concert by Living River Quartet specifically tailored for those who are grieving during the Christmas season. The quartet will share goodwill in spiritual song, feel-good music, and traditional Christmas songs. All are invited to hear music that can soothe the hurt and lyrics that say the words you need to hear.

    Concert is Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 4:00-6:00 at Plaza Hotel and Suites in Wausau. Registration is not required. Free will donation will be accepted.

  • When the Holidays Hurt Grief Program
    Tuesday, December 04, 2018 : 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM
    Wings: A Grief Education Ministry offers a program on grieving during the holidays. The program offers ideas on how to get through the Christmas season while experiencing grief.

    Program is in the Medallion Room of the Aspirus Wausau Hospital on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. -7:30 p.m.
